TERANANOPORES

This project follows on from Application de la spectroscopie Terahertz pour estimer le réseau de pores des roches réservoirs : test de faisabilité, funded by the CNRS under its PEPS (Projets Exploratoires Premier Soutien) call for projects. The TERANANOPORES project bridges the "Terahertz gap" by completing the range of techniques for characterizing porous media through the development of an imaging method using Terahertz spectroscopy in the time domain (THz-TDS) and radar (FMCW). This method has the advantage of relatively short measurement times, enabling real-time observations during fluid injection. It is also highly sensitive to nano- and micro-pores.

THEIA

LabCom THEIA is a center of excellence in mineral resources geology, bringing together the GeoRessources laboratory of the Université de Lorraine and Arethuse Geology. The project is designed as a launching point for collaborative research between industry and academia, through the creation of a consortium of French experts in mineral resource geology. It will strengthen our joint competitiveness, promote French expertise in mineral resources and contribute to the supply of critical and strategic metals.

GEOCARRIERE

The main objectives of the GeoCarrière project are: to verify the sustainability of the resource by means of a long-term forced air extraction test; to model air circulation in galleries and heat exchange between air and walls; to determine the initial state of the geological structure of quarries; to determine the initial state of the environmental situation; to understand the societal issues likely to have an impact on the energy exploitation of quarries; to define the regulatory framework for this exploitation; and to study the economic interest.
